Life and its complications

Suddenly you discover you are at a marriageable age, friends are getting married around you and it seems like you are going no where near that as you are breaking up a relationship everyone thouht was def going down the aisle. One thing i have learnt, try (its hard tho) not to introduce the guy to the world until you are very sure but then does that make a difference? We have heard of relationships that broke even at the altar so i think its just God and it happening when it is to happen.
Take my sis for instance, she's almost thirty, she's pretty, so so so so nice (nicer than me i admit), not given to problems and issues, gentle, educated (has MBA Finance) and all the walks, u know. Not cos she's my sis but she's just your typical take home to Mama. Unfortunately,no guy has deemed it fit to do that instead they all have broken her heart after coming as far as introducing her to folks, meeting her and all then they just leave either cos of an old girlfriend or some equally lame excuse like not agreeing on having a big or small wedding (can you beat that?).
Anyways, while all these was going on, there Mr. Not Really Married(NRM) but lives with a woman who is a bad woman and whom he does not love and they have two kids together hanging around encouraging her and holding her hand each time there is a break up say for like 5 yrs now and say he loves her. Now this is where the problem is, my sister now thinks she should marry this Mr, NRM! For God sakes he is still with this woman and they have two kids, he says he will leave her and come live with my sis and that he has told d woman who initially didn't agree and then says she will agree on one condition, Mr. NRM is to continue to take care of her and the kids (please!)
I have spoken with my sis, she says she does not know how to tell him and that no one has been this crazy about her bla bla bla, please help me save her, what do i do to let her know that she'll always be second fiddle, that she won't get the satisfaction of marriage here, that she is going to be in a polygamous situation which we are born into and have sworn not to enter, Help me blogsville!

I'm for real this time

Why can't i just write and update my blog regularly? Hmm, even i cannot explain. Well, this time i promise i shall be diligent so help me God (amen)

And then, one day, she quietly died. And everything you never did came
crashing down like thunder.

"Rock me baby, rock me all night long."
"The hand who rocks the cradle...may rock the world."
Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute/show appreciation
to the person called MOM. Though some may not say it openly to their mother,
there i nosubstitute for her. Cherished every single moment.
Though she may not be the best of friends, may not agree to our thoughts,
She is still your mother!!!
She will be there for you... to listen to your woes, your braggings, your frustrations, etc.
Ask yourself...have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her "blues" of working in the kitchen, her tiredness???
Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect though you may have a different view from hers.
Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left.

DON'T TAKE FOR GRANTED THE THINGS CLOSEST TO YOUR HEART, CLING TO THEM AS YOU WOULD YOUR LIFE, FOR WITHOUT THEM, LIFE IS MEANINGLESS.

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!

Bolder moves these days?

Hi ma Pips of blogsville, i am so grateful to you guys for your comments on my post of "Love and Let go?". You all encouraged me especially when i read the comments by Scribz and Roc seeing from the guys' point of view so it didn't feel like the girls were just being chauvinistic.

well,he finally agreed to call her which he has not done but then i let sleeping dogs lie until yesterday when he agreed that this weekend, sunday precisely which i s mother's day is actually a good time to call her and mend fences, boy! was i relieved? Meanwhile let me back up a few steps to let you guys know how we got there.

I travelled out of town on wednesday for a matter and came back yesterday so after work i went to see a colleague who just had a baby and then went home, ate, bathed, donned on a nightie only with some plan in my head and waited for my baby to come.

He did and we hugged, pecked and were talking. He started running his hands all over me and was like "are you wearing anything under this nightgown?" and i'm like "do you want to comfirm?" he gives me that look and i say let's sit in the car and we did.

We continued to kiss and grope and before we knew it,it all got heated up and then he starts to look around asking sure you wanna do this,we are in front of your house and i said hey,its dark(of course there was no light even though with all sense of modesty i'm supposed to be living in one of the top shots areas in abuja) Anyways,no light so the street lights were off so it was kinda dark. Hell,i want to,its been a while so we did it(sure you guys don't want details) we get enough of that from sexkitten and co... Well it was beautiful, long enough and real hot!(you can imagine) then we lay there spent, sated and that's when people started passin g by.

It was crazy and fun and i loved every bit of it so we adjusted all that needed to be adjusted and i confessed that this was on my mind all along and he says "wow!you got me there but it was madly sweet" and that's when i chipped in the mom stuff and it worked like magic! He said i could have just said it and he would still have agreed but i made him know that it wasn't cos of that,i just wanted to DO it! Anyways i think it was an added advantage. For me,that was bold and one of the most adventuous steps i've taken. Kinda proud of me. Lol.

What do you say girls? The way to a man's heart is not only through his stomach, abi?

On a lighter note,i read this funny story and thought to share with you guys.
A certain man hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of it. he puts the cat in the car and drives two blocks away from the house, drops the cat and goes home. On getting home,he meets the cat relaxing on the rug.

The next day,he puts the cat in the car agin and drives 5 blocks away from the house, getting home, this cat is there sleeping on the couch.

The next day by which time the man is really infuriated,he picks this cat, puts it in the car as always and drives round, turned left then right, takes a u-turn,goes up the hill, comes down a slope and drops the cat by a river. Satisfied,he starts his journey back home but lo and behold he was lost. Then he calls the house and his wife answers the phone,he asks if the cat was there, the wife says yes. the man says "put the damn cat on the phone,i need directions back home!"

Peace!

Love and let go?

"I love you but i'm sorry there is nothing i can do,let's just quit and be friends"

Friends? I think not! He didn't show up for my call to bar party, says when coming back from the ceremony i didn't update him on movement as per the party that i relegated him to the background and showed he was not my priority(for God sakes i had too many things going on,it was my day of glory, pple wer calling me,waiting for me at the house and we planned this together!) so i was supposed to do what?my mum wonders why? She hears gist of fights we had before from my siblings and that he said "it was cos of my stupidity he didn't come for my party, that day is gone now and there's nothing i can do to bring it back" she says no way,the guy don't respect you enough. I said couples must fight, not showing up at my party was gross but then he apologised,i forgave,no need crying over spilt milk, yea? But then, mom says no way,sis beefs and i stupidly told him(yea,i know...no information management) well, things escalate, mom shuts down,he shuts down,no more communication and i say to him, call mom and explain why you were not there,he says no,he can't and won't,(why do they all sudddenly hate him cos he was not at the party?he does not need to kiss ass to show he loves me or deserves her daughter and since i'm cool with his folks and he not with

mine hence the above quote from him tonight. he says mom never liked him,she just used call to bar party as an excuse, imagine that?

He asks or do i have an alternative solution?me?how? When he's made up his mind? I said no,he says lets talk about it,what's left to tslk about? We have talked, fought,i have even begged (don't know why or for what) but it has got us nowhere. My mum is expecting him to call and explain(why,it was my party, abi?) He is not going to call and to him,she hates him and will always be a factor in the relationship so he breaks up with me though he is with me and not her(i don't get it)

Right now,i'm just numb, really don't know what to think or say. But then,if he loves me so much,am i not worth swallowing his pride for to call mom? Do you love so much and let go cos you can't 'kiss ass',is that how love plays out? Should you not fight, kiss ass if you have to to get your desired love or am i just being impractical and romantic? I'm confused, help!

Seeing blind hard to please Guys

Na wa oh! Guys can be so blind sometimes even though their eyes are wide open! (sorry guys but then...) It rained here on Wednesday and there i was with my female colleague feeling all Mushy as per the weather, you know?(it was all cold and cozy) Great for some cuddling and ....

Lo and behold i went to Sweets' place, slept over and didn't even get as much as a peck! reason? He was tired, had a busy day and so before i came out of the bath, all fresh and glowing,he was dead to the world! I tried but no show o so i just tried to sleep.

A day before that,we had a bit of issue,he's fond of just snobbing when he's upset and i so hate that! (hell, out with it,lets talk it and get it over with)Well, tried asking what's up but just got further snobs(i,m supposed to know when he's upset without him telling me(as i be witch) and keep off till he's cooled off) and when we got to my house,he asked for a goodnight hug, imagine! I didnt believe he did that,of course i said NO so that we kinda sorted the next day before the cold night thing and then yesterday morning,he continued the snobbing mood so i just kept to myself and then last night,he accuses me of being cold lately,Can you beat that? Who started being cold, and so what should i do when i'm supposed to stay away and when i hate being snobbed? What do guys really want anywayz? I tire o and i seem to hear these complaints from a fair number of chics so i don't think its just me or is it?See why i say they are blind even though seeing and so so hard to please?

Thieving cab man

I have been coming here for days on end and my head is still blank,i know not what to write! Ki lo de? E ma gba mi ke? I just read other blogs, have a good laugh and make comments. It is so so dry! Me i tire o.

Meanwhile, i have atarted losing some weight o,i thank God and y'all who gave me tips.

Hear my story... some crazy Cab man stole my purse on Monday. I didn't believe someone could be that fast and he tricked me,i felt so stupid but then how could i have known? I entered the cab,we moved a little and the guy asks me if i had change,i said i had 200(was supposed to pay him 150) so he said i should bring it so he would get some ticket thing(some people just give tickets to cab guys for 50 box, don't know what's about). Anyways,he collected the 200 and says he ain't going again saying VIO(some pips that catch cabs not painted Abuja cab colour 'green and white') is on the road so he gives me back my 200 and asks me to get off and take another cab. I tried to get down but the door won't open so he reaches across to help me open the door(i was sitting in front and my bag was on my laps). I just put my purse back in the bag and the bag was open. Of course i was distracted trying to open the door cos he told me to hit it in a certain way and i was getting pissed as the door refused to bulge and was even shouting at him to get down and open it from outside but the guy no gree o,he was even vexing that i didnt hit the door well, imagine!

Finally, the door opens and i just came down and banged it close,He said 'take am easy now.' My pips,na so i enter another cab o,paid him 150 from the 200 d guy gave back to me and got to where i was going,lo and behold my purse was gone with all my ATM cards,my i.d card and seven grand and i had only 50 naira left. I wan craze! Well, thanks to God,i had my Sweets to call,he picked me up and i started all the running around for police report, wetin police carry me do na another day story. Well,i got it,did my affidavit myself(as i be lawyer now) and then my day was just messed up. I began to invoke scriptures. I say Baba "i pay my tithes o,the devourer is rebuked for my sake" e.t.c

Amazingly,on my way to court on tuesday, someone calls me and says he found my purse on Bwari road which is like 40mins drive away from Abuja metropolis,i went to get it,all things were in it except the cash of course and then my mum and sweets passport were gone. The guy that found it sef had to be real cajoled by Sweets to collect some cash for his help. Yes! there are good people still in Naija. My faith came alive all over again in God and in Nigeria. I just forgave the thief,at least he gave me cash to get to where i was going. It was while i was gisting my friend, she told me that in all that hulabaloo of opening the door, while i turned to struggle with the door, the guy had removed my purse.Apparently, same exact scenario had happened to her before and her phone was stolen. O ga gan o!

Well,i thank God, i didn't have to do all the stress of getting my i.d and ATMs back.Moral?
Beware of cabs that have door issues, always pay your tithes. Trust me,it works.

On a lighter note, a woman got sick and while in the hospital, she died. Got to heaven and begs God,He sends her back saying she has like 30-40 years extra to live. The woman comes alive, gets well and goes to do all kinds of surgery you can think of,face lift, tummy tuck, boob job e.t.c giving herself a total make over. after the last surgery,as she walks out of the hospital, she was hit bya car and dies instantly.

She gets to heaven and says God,but you said i had 30-40 years, what happened? Why d'you let the car hit me? God says,oh sorry dear i didn't recognise you!

Have a great Holiday!
